About Old School Arcade Room in Tyler, TX
Owner-Operated Vintage Arcade Experience in East Texas
Old School Arcade Room is an owner-operated vintage arcade serving Tyler, TX and surrounding areas, featuring a curated collection of all-original arcade machines, pinball tables, and classic gaming equipment. Lana Rodriguez personally oversees the arcade, ensuring every visit delivers the authentic retro gaming experience players remember from the golden age of arcades.
When you walk through the doors, you're stepping into a collection that's been carefully assembled—not the reproduction cabinets or emulation machines you'll find elsewhere, but authentic NES consoles, original arcade cabinets, pinball machines, air hockey tables, billiards, and even rare laser disc games. Each machine has been selected for playability and nostalgia, giving you access to the games that defined arcade culture from the late '70s through the early '90s.
You'll notice the pricing model immediately sets Old School Arcade Room apart from traditional pay-per-play arcades. The pay-once-play-all format means you pay once at the door—$20 for adults, $15 for kids ages 4–12, and free admission for ages 3 and under with an adult—and every arcade cabinet, pinball machine, pool table, and air hockey table is available without feeding quarters all day. Saturday admission even includes a free slice of pizza and a drink! This approach removes the nickel-and-diming that used to empty your pockets at old-school arcades and lets you focus on gameplay, whether you're mastering a difficult pinball table or introducing your kids to Pac-Man.
The BYOB policy reinforces that customer-first philosophy. You can bring your own beverages with no tab fees or corkage charges while on-site snacks, sodas, and water stay stocked, making Old School Arcade Room a relaxed space for birthday parties, family outings, or casual weekend hangouts without the markup you'd expect at entertainment venues.

Trusted Gaming Destination in the Tyler Community
Old School Arcade Room stands apart by committing to all-original vintage machines rather than emulation or reproduction hardware, preserving the weight of the controls, the glow of the CRT, and the sound design that defined each era. That authenticity resonates with players who remember feeding quarters into these same cabinets decades ago and with newcomers discovering why these games earned their reputation. Plan the perfect birthday party or private event ($250 plus tax for 3 hours up to 30 people, $10 per additional guest up to a maximum capacity of 50), or walk in Saturday for open play—complete with a free slice of pizza and a drink with entrance!
The arcade opens at 8:00 AM Monday through Friday for private party rentals and 9:00 AM Saturday for walk-in play, accommodating groups and weekend crowds with equal hospitality. The retro lounge gives guests a comfortable place to relax on grandma's couch, grab an on-site snack, soda, or water, and recharge between games.
Call to book your private event, walk in Saturday for open play, or ask about vintage treasures available for purchase at our sister shop next door.
